IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS FOR NEW PATIENTS

 

Thank you for your interest in Zen Mindcare.  Please familiarize yourself with our new patient policy and procedures.  Please review and consider the following terms and conditions before reserving a new patient evaluation appointment.

 

Please note that if this is an emergency, please contact 911 and/or go to the nearest emergency room for help.

 

AGE GROUPS

While our focus is on adults and adolescents, we also occasionally treat children, 5 years and older, on a case by case basis. 

 

APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY AND DURATION 

All new patients undergo a generous 90-minute evaluation appointment.  Unlike traditional 30-minute to 60-minute new patient appointments elsewhere, we intentionally dedicate more time in order to comfortably care for new patients’ needs, creating a thoughtful and effective foundation and roadmap for future 30-minute follow up appointments thereafter.   

 

Please schedule the 90-minute appointment accordingly, as Zen Mindcare will cancel any new patient bookings inadvertently booked in a 30-minute time slot.

 

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Given our patients’ desire to maintain privacy via circumventing insurance claims, coupled with our focus on time spent on patients vs. complex billing matters, our practice, therefore, only accepts out of pocket payments.  We do not accept insurance and Medicaid.  

 

BOOKING TERMS AND AGREEMENTS

We enforce strict booking terms and agreements to respect time committed by both patients and Dr. Nguyen alike.  Please be mindful and avoid late cancellations and no-shows, as these not only cause a loss of time for Dr. Nguyen, but also an opportunity lost by another patient in need of Dr. Nguyen's time.  

 

For those interested in scheduling an appointment, please follow the instructions to do so:

 

1) Reserve a 90-minute evaluation appointment 

2) Within 20 hours from the time you schedule this reservation, check your email to

 

i) confirm the appointment and

ii) submit a $60 deposit 

 

Once your confirmation and deposit have been received, an email will be sent confirming your appointment.  Both confirmation and deposit must be received in order for the appointment to be secured.   

 

If there is no confirmation and no deposit made within 20 hours from the time you had scheduled this reservation, this reservation will then be promptly cancelled and the deposit refunded. 

 

For confirmed appointments, all deposits become non-refundable after this 20-hour window.
